Chaining devices together

Some devices could be chained together to save some keystrokes in combat, like the heat sink launchers, shield cell batteries, and chaff launchers.

For example...

Rather than having 2 identical fire groups firing the same weapons, but each with its own dedicated heat sink launcher, allow the pilot to chain them together. In effect, having one heat sink launcher with double the ammo (as far as fire grouping is concerned).

This is also better then needing to power only one launcher at a time, to avoid launching two at once. Powering the second one on after the first is exhausted, is something to be avoided in combat

Combat discipline or micromanagement it doesn't matter what you call it. It keeps the combat player on their toes. Unless you want a game that does everything for you?

I'm not suggesting the current options be removed. If that's how one wants to do it, so be it.

Unless I'm mistaken, the dedicated heatsink keybinding already behaves this way- it fires one sink when you press it, essentially turning all your heatsink launchers into one big ammo supply. I think the SCB button works this way too, though that could be counter-productive if you're trying to fire several smaller ones together.

I admit I'm not sure in waht way the ammo would be doubled but I wouldn't use chaining even if possible. While usually I do use SCB and then HS, there are a lot of cases when I use SCB, HS and SCB. For burning off the caustic I need to use at least two SCBs and I must not use a HS. So while some uses are more often, they are not so prevailing to demand their own key binding. Especially if that would render solo use harder.
