Challenge Mode : No Babies ?

This is the first time playing Challenge Mode so I don't know whether this is a part of that game mode or something that has gone wrong since the patch.

I have 2 habitat species .. bongo and flamingo and I have had the message pop out that they are about to concieve twice each but no pregnancy icon on display. The first time I put it down to a failed conception, but both animals both times ? Also, the zoo challenges has given me completion on birth of a habitat species but no babies around.

Has anyone had this and it worked before or is this the way it has always happened in Challenge Mode ?

Have you checked your animal storage? I dont know what causes it but my babies randomly disappear at birth sometimes in franchise and I will find creatures in my storage at age 0.0

I had heard of that issue but nada .. Exhibit animals are breeding fine but for some reason habitat species have a 0% conception success so far. I have reported it as a bug for the moment and will amend if it is mere coincidence that the first four conceptions failed.

Well it looks like the Bongos finally got pregnant .. after fully researching them ( if that is the reason it was a success ). I have added another pair of flamingos to see how they pan out. Yep, second pair, and voila conception success..
