Challenge Mode suggestion : Let us see the contracts before we accept them

I've been trying out the challenge modes on the different islands to try and unlock all of the new skins that came with the recent update, and I have to say, if its one thing that aggravates me the most its the flipping forced contracts. I can deal with the disease, storms, etc... but the forced contracts in challenge mode are the single most hated thing in the game for me .

There are so many contracts that are just absolutely terrible for how challenge mode is designed, (especially those stupid "get yer park to X rating ones) because they either take too much time to do, take too much focus away from the rest of the park (waiting for dinos to do certain things to get pictures, for example), and/or simply aren't worth the monetary reward. Not only are there a ton of crappy contracts that you could end up with, you get penalized by having to pay to cancel said contract only to possibly just get another crappy contract in its place.

The biggest cause of this whole problem is the fact that in challenge mode, you are forced to pick a contract for one of the divisions without being able to first see what that contract is. It would make for better design imo, if you were first able to see the contracts before we picked them, and it would make it feel more justified in having to pay to cancel a contract.

As it currently stands, I've gotten fed up with the whole forced blind contract system to the point that now I just save my game right as i finish a contract, and if I get a new contract i dont like, i just reload until I do. I hope that something like that change i suggested is made to make it a more enjoyable experience as I very much prefer not to resort to such methods.

Haha….I do the same cheating. So…It’s kinda frustrating for me to load the game repeatedly sometimes.

Yes. I agree that the ability to review the contract first without being forced to accept it, is more sensible. I don’t think it will break game balance though as it can be made in such that rejecting a contract makes us wait for 2 mins (or more) before a new one pops up. As we all know, time is money in challenge mode as reputation will decrease over time. (Department earning is one of the most important venues especially when fossil sites are depleted after completing the challenge)

Also, since the method of reloading the game has been brought up, I want to mention another potential flaw/bug/(maybe torturing feature?). I recorded down the revenues of attraction, ticket sales, and department earnings over time and I notice that the attraction income fluctuates inconsistently. For instance, before loading the game, my attraction income is around $ 580,000. After loading the game and waiting for an extended period of time (for it to rise and stabilize), the attraction income becomes as low as $490,000. This varies from time to time, randomly every time the game is reloaded. I’m not sure if this is a game design (to punish cheaters like us) or a bug. One thing I’m sure is it’s tormenting as hell. In Jurassic difficulty, a difference as large as $90,000 is huge!! One can easily go bankrupt if he doesn’t check the details carefully over time. One moment, his profit per min is $390,000, everything is happy; the other moment (after loading the game) his profit drops to $300,000/min. Without noticing it and let the game runs over time, a death wave of dinos will most certainly bankrupt the park as it can costs over 20 millions (the players have to save up enough money to prepare for that).

Please do check and consider the above as I’m trying to maintain the park after completing the challenge.

I agree. While I understand that's intended to make it more of a challenge it just ends up being tedious.

This would be great. Fed up with the game making me take a contract to perform a succesful expidition when all the dig sites are depleted or have a chasmasaur kill a giga and then have to pay money out to cancel the contract.... etc etc Do you think I am made of money ? XD Hammond Foundation is fleecing me as it is lol

Agreed! Nothing worse than when you're struggling for money early in the game and it demands that you sell dinosaurs for less than it takes too create them in the first place.
