Challenge Mode unlock question

Hey I just have a short question:

If we play the hardest difficulty of challenge mode, will we even unlock the skins from the easier difficultys from this map?

You don’t have to complete any challenge mode difficulty you just have to research it in challenge mode on any difficulty level

are you sure? lookes like some could be get through research and the rest by compleeting the different challenge maps and difficultys

The campaign is about 2 hours long. I have heard some people say 3-4. But I have seen some YouTubers get through it in 2 hours or so. There really isn't a lot of time in campaign mode to unlock stuff. This game isn't like JWE, you don't unlock stuff in the campaign. The way you unlock stuff is through the challenge mode. You unlock all the maps for sandbox, the buildings and dinosaurs through challenge mode. You don't need to play on the hardest difficulties to do it though.

You can unlock the Chaos Theory maps for sandbox by playing the chaos theory scenarios. You don't even have to complete it. You just go in and start it and the map is unlocked. The tutorial for the game is kind of in campaign mode but the rest is in the chaos theory scenarios. That's where you will really learn about the new mechanics of the game. I have heard the chaos theory scenarios are pretty fun and they are longer than the campaign. The JP chaos theory scenario is about 5 hours long or so. I have also heard none of them are that difficult. Also chaos theory is where you unlock the movie skins for the dinosaurs.

I wish I could bug the JWFK chaos theory so I can play the chaos theory without doing the objectives and have my own JW without the hassle of building it

If you are on PC you could just wait a week or two and look around for save files that have everything unlocked if all you want is sandbox mode. A lot of people are saying the campaign is fun but really short and feels incomplete. It's about 2-3 hours long depending on how you play it. There will probably be Dominion DLC that extends the campaign most likely. It will most likely be free or could be DLC we have to buy. Also Evolution Square said the Chaos Theory scenarios aren't all that great in her opinion and she said one is really bad. The Chaos Theory scenarios seem to take the most time. The JP scenario can take 5 hours to complete. Then after that you have the challenge modes.

She also said that the maps aren't all that big, at least not as big as she though. So building your dream park isn't going to be that easy especially if you want to use aviaries and lagoons. I think the JP Nublar map and the JP3 Chaos Theory Sorna map are pretty small. Also we don't have access to everything in the sandbox mode so it doesn't really feel like sandbox. Also I found out the other day we can't have aviaries and lagoons in a JP era build. Also there is no JP themed aviary.

What I will probably do is play the campaign. Then do the Chaos Theory scenarios. Then unlock everything I can in challenge mode. Then wait for a save file to get the skins that you can unlock through the challenge mode. After that I will either mess around in sanbox a little and wait for fixes for issues, a JP themed aviary and maybe JP themed lagoons, mods to unlock the boundaries for the maps so we can have actual bigger maps. Then I will really dive into the game.

I spent 400 hours in the first game and I was a big supporter of the first game both vocally and financially. I bought every DLC. I preordered the deluxe edition of JWE2 for $70. It's just really disappointing cause there are so many good things about this game and then there are some that shouldn't even be problems. We shouldn't have to beg to have the campaign maps and game assets in sandbox . We shouldn't have to beg for aviaries and lagoons in a JP era park build in sandbox. We should have a JP themed aviary at the least. None of this makes sense for a sequel. It's like we got so close to having the perfect modern JP/JW park builder and it just didn't happen. Here we are 3 years later with the sequel begging for stuff we had in the first game. Like we lost all that progress. It's really frustrating.

In Challenge Mode, you can unlock 2 skins by completing a level on any difficulty. Then there's a third skin you can unlock by playing on Medium difficulty or above, and a fourth skins unlocked at 5 stars in Hard difficulty or above.

Hope that cleared things up!
