Happy Birthday (yesterday?) Sir David (lord of the realm or some such)
Thank you very much for teaming up with Ian Bell and making Elite, a game so ahead of it's time it gave all (well probably 'all') us nascent gamers in the early 80's goose bumps and endless stories of adventure and space exploration.
Space 1999 was on TV, Dr Who was still good, Blakes Seven rocked our worlds on TV while Elite promised those futures to all.
Also thanks for Frontier (which blew my mind on my Amiga) and FFE, both true advancements of the base Elite game (in mostly good ways, bar bugs etc).
Those three games have stood the test of time and i still play a version of them to this day still living the dream of humans amongst the stars. Thanks so much for all that and hope you had a great day
I can't say much on ED as i'm still waiting for it to be feature complete with the previous games before jumping in, and i'm not a fan of online games in general.
