I was playing Planet Zoo in sandbox mode and I had a thought now I understand that it wouldn’t be a good idea or even possible for that matter, but what I was thinking was what if we could change the background of the sandbox to city background or possibly anything else it would be the players choice what they would want to put.

I’d like to add a city background in particular
While playing JWE2 I noted some backgrounds for maps and thought some would look cool for PZ
Examples like seeing San Diego, Malta cities in the background look cool
Or having an arrival point be a monorail instead of a helicopter or guest spawn point
Maybe some mountain range backgrounds, farmlands

Those sound great, I mean you’ve got to have somewhere the guest are coming from to visit your zoo besides an open field full of nothing, I mean if you add a city background you could possibly think (oh look the guest are coming from the city to see my zoo) also when night falls over the zoo you could see the city buildings lights come on all around the city. When I used to play zoo tycoon 2 there would be a city background and even a road with cars parked outside in parking lot outside the main gate those would be awesome for Planet Zoo but your idea @Spiderhawk is good too better than mine even.
Heck I’d like to change the background of my AU zoo. Rather than meaning a complete desolate outback, I’d like some canyon like structure to be the background.
Exactly a city skirt would be nice I love too see that.
