Is anyone having headset tracking issues since the last update? Just curious to know if its just me or update related. tks.

Thanks for the replies, clearing environment data fixed this on HP Rev G2

Clearing the environment data regularly is practically a must for me and my Reverb G2; maybe it's my room, even though it doesn't change much really except for lighting conditions (maybe my room is too cluttered or has to few contrasting edges or something), my G2's tracking gets iffy after a while. I usually clear my environment data before starting a session. The downside is you lose your standing playspace borders too, but that's a non-issue for me as I only play seated anyway.

What really helped my tracking a lot was pinning large tracking markers to the shelf and area opposite my pilot's seat. My biggest issue was losing tracking when I take the headset off and put it on the table next to my seat to go for an extended bathroom or fridge break. It was very annoying and sometimes even required a game and VR session restart. Also sometimes the tracking position of my headset seemed to either wander off or show some jitter - little micro stutters in the positional tracking. Usually clearing the environment also fixed that, but only for a while.

At first I thought it was a silly idea, but I did it anyway: I did an image search for "tracking markers", printed three copies of one I thought was suitable on A4 paper and stuck it to the area opposite my seat. The result was pretty much rock solid tracking, no more losing tracking when I put the aside, and no more of those little tracking jitters.

So maybe that's worth a try if you have tracking issues. Apart from that, make sure your room is neither to dark nor too bright - for example, I have issues with tracking in the morning during the summer when the sun is blaring into my room shining on my white furniture.
