Greetings Commanders.
This is an issue that relates to something I see pop up almost everywhere Elite Dangerous is mentioned. Whenever this wonderful game is discussed, it's immediately disparaged for being hard and unintuitive to control; that people have uninstalled the game thinking they needed peripheral hardware other than mouse and keyboard to control the game properly.
I'm convinced that the crux of the issue is simply the awfully unintuitive configuration of having roll on the mouse X-axis by default. For most of the new players that I've talked to and advised on this issue they almost always immediately agree that having yaw on the mouse X-axis is an immediate improvement to their game experience. Simply because of it being more intuitive to people.
So I petition Frontier to fix this simple issue by putting yaw on the mouse X-axis by default, thus stopping the dreadful mouse-roll from terrorizing new players and scaring them away from the game.
