Hello everyone, I have some ideas about how to improve powerplay and would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.
1. Merits can only be earned in open. It seems beyond ridiculous to me that systems can be fortified/undermined without any opposition from players
2. Fortification past 125% earns no merits. Doesn't make sense to pay out the weekly payment to players that simply grind the closest system to many thousands of %
3. Preparation is changed to nomination only. 1 nomination awarded per 1t of valid fortification. This would counter the grinders from #2 that would switch to prep instead and give more control to the loyal players. Seems there are players in all factions that are attempting to weaken the power from within, this would decrease their ability to do so
4. Undermining merits are earned instantly. The damage is done when the ship is destroyed, the merits should be awarded then, not allowed to be accumulated and merit bombed 5 mins before cycle end. This might also allow players to identify systems being undermined and give them more chance to take action
5. Increased security in Headquarters systems. There should be security patrols actively hunting hostile powers in our HQ systems. The number of interdictions there are ridiculous
