Changes to playing habbit

Just a curiosity - how many have reduced their hours of game play since 1.3 dropped?
I know I have by quite a bit and I think it's from the mostly harmless 10's of hours wasted in CZs with no redress. Time lost with little progress and no retrospective fix and add on top no combat CG (I can see why, PP and the other long running CGs are spreading players a bit thin) - has sort of made me think, meh the last couple of weeks.

For S&Gs here's my combat tracking
-
Hit Dangerous at 3,972 kills before the 1.3 patch - carried on killing.
After patch the progress screen showed 24% @ 4,383 kills =409 kills = 24% Fair enough, inline with what others have experienced and approx. (give or take) 1200 more kills gets deadly
-
Now 5295 kills shows @ 40% so an extra 908 kills=16%
Have only made approx. 150 kills since the CZ/RES fix dropped and I've notices a the % increase rise pretty well, especially after 3 three Condas that show up in SSS so would say it's fixed now. So I estimate 750 kills worth of time wasted killing the hardest, trickiest mostly harmless cobras/vultures/pythons/condas credits can buy.

Everyone is different, of course. In my case, I have been playing more since 1.3 came along. I was starting to really lose interest, and PP has given my game a new life. We'll see how long it lasts. I have been playing ED for a very long time (for a video game), at some point I will take a long break and not come back. But, despite its grindy nature I personally am enjoying PowerPlay.

No drop in game since 1.3.

nor me, same as always. Do a bit of this and a bit of that. Whilst I agree with the progression bars in rank, they do lead to people only concentrating on ranking up. The last thing I want to do is be driven by a progress bar.

Yeah, know what your saying about the progress bar, it's there now and whilst it's not the be all and end all it has helped very much show how much the mostly harmless CZs impacted progress and nothing has been done to rectify that.
Seems you have to make quite a lot of noise for things to be looked into further - the sending explorers back to their last port for example would had the same effect (out for weeks grinding explorer ranks only to be reset back to their last station) however it create a lot of noise and a bit more dev effort was given and a better solution implemented. Seems not enough noise was made to 'help' the devs with an equivalent problem (lost time)

oh and another thing that's putting me off is getting bounties for doing assassination missions.
Fair enough, being wanted in one system doesn't mean they're also wanted in another system, however when a mission specifically states that system A is working with System B to apprehend (kill) target X, here's the contract and nice bounty, you then turn up and they're clean. Well so much for the 2 systems working with each other.
Then you wait an arbitrary 7 days for it to clear - 7 days - whats the significance of it?
I tell you what it is - CBA to logon knowing there's a bunch of bounties on you for no other reason than a plucked out the air number of days.

Playing the same amount, but exploring instead of trading/bounty hunting.
Seeing imperial slaves in the commodities market in federation stations drove me out to the blackness of space.

I dropped off after 1.2....Wings isn't a big thing for me and I was ready for an Elite break.

Then 1.3 brought me back in, just to check out the Courier, really...and I got sucked right back in....not by PP specifically, but for the other changes...I love the new bounty system (currently flying about with 200k on my head), drones and AI improvements.

My gameplay hours fluctuate based on real life. Sometimes I go whole days without playing all, other times I'm on for like five hours.

I don't think PP influenced my habits at all.
