Changing Dinosaur combat stats & star ratings

One of the features that I liked in the first JWE was that we could genetically modify the dinosaurs to increase their star ratings & combat stats.
I know we can still give certain traits to the dinosaurs to change their stats, but we had a lot more creative options in the first game.
The reason why I am saying this is because there are so many things that don't make sense in this game, such as Stegosaurus being twice more powerful than Ankylosaur (90 attack vs 47 attack....seriously???), or iconic dinosaurs like Triceratops and Brachiosaurus having very low base ratings.

I wish we had more creative options to change the dino stats & ratings so we can balance things out.

I think we should AT LEAST have an option to give dinosaur negative traits.

Tbh I don't even noticed with appeal ratings for Dinosaurs, everything gets unlocked so easily, appeal isn't even an issue. Just choose the preferred species and increase your income then boom, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ park...

Personally, I prefer the combat system as it is compared to the first game simply because there's more variety/less predictability on who will win a fight.
It would be great to see the ratings get an added bonus depending on the infamy level of a Dinosaur.

Definitely agree with letting us add negative traits to give us extra points to put towards a positive trait, (e.g. adding a large appetite trait gives us a bonus point to put towards them being humble).

I've already completed every challenge modes in Jurassic/Hard difficulties, so getting a 5 star park isn't an issue.
I just find it super unrealistic that all the carnivores are overpowered and they have so much higher ratings than the herbivores.

I can kinda understand the reason why the carnivores have a higher rating to the herbivores though.

People don't tend to have a huge population of carnivores and/or the carnivores have a much lower social need. Therefore it balances out the rating numbers, so lets say... we have 8 Trikes in an enclosure which adds upto 312 rating and another enclosure with 2 Rexes, which makes 468 rating for both Rexes.

Combat issue I can understand, a Triceratops should have a fighting chance against a Rex.
But I'm not an expert on combat for Evolution as I don't normally use that mechanic, but I'm going to be starting to use it in my future parks. Somehow I never actually knew how much of a bonus using infamy can boost your park attendance with Adventure guests until recently...

Yeah, I totally get that, but I still think Ceratopsians and Sauropods need higher ratings.
I don't know where you got those numbers from, but 8 Trikes will be 864, while 2 rexes will be staggering 2532. lol

You can find all the dino stats here:

Oh, maybe I was getting the rating numbers from Evolution 1...
I was using this site for reference:

Apologies on my part for that.

But if you asked 1000 people what would probably be the "better/more terrifying" or ask which they'd prefer, I'd bet cash the Rex would probably be the one who'd win that poll. Therefore the idea of the Rex perhaps having a higher rating in comparison.

Yeah, I don't mind Rex having such a high rating.
Trike definitely needs some buff though, since its rating is relatively low compared to other herbivores as well.
