Changing intensity/range of lights

It would be really cool if we could change not just the color, but also the intensity and radius of light sources!
At least for me it often feels like some lamps don't light as much area as I would like them to, especially the street light types. And others, like the spotlight, are so intense, that its always a bit finicky to find the right distance and placement for them to not over-shine everything but still be in range to light the target up properly.
I can only imagine what cool lighting setups all the creative people here could do with this.

I love playing around with lights -- gotta make the zoo beautiful at night!

I too get a bit frustrated by the intensity and radii of some of the lights. This is something I really want to see improvements to. It feels like only the "New World" ones are actually bright enough to light up much other than themselves, and then the spotlights are intense, but still a smaller radii than I would have liked.

I just want to be able to use lighting during the day-time to create realistic indoor enclosures. Sucks how it automatically switches off in the day.

I am there for it too.
Especially the lights glow during the day.
It should be very easy to let us decide which lights to turn on and off.
I would also like to change the intensity very much.
