Changing power priority changes almost all modules to match!

As the title says if I change one thing it changes several others. I'm on a tight power management as I'm 150% over power, but now I can't balance back after making a small change to fix my FSD. Any suggestions?

Can you turn off modules?

Yes, but I need my priorities to work correctly so I can scan, land, use SRV etc. I can't find bug reporting anymore, no one seems to have the same issue that I have asked, so a bug report would be a bit pointless for me as it won't be confirmed. I can't rule out that I've done something wrong but I've no idea what I could have done.

Ah thank you very much! I'll read that thread and see if there are any hoops I can jump through to get myself going. Reloading just shuts the ship down and I can not power back up no matter what I turn off. So I'm dead in the water and running out of time. I'll be less than happy if I lose the ship trying to jump through hoops though 😒

shut off everything you positively don't need until such time as you need it. Having a lot of afmu's is handy when you far from home. But there is no way you need them on until you need them and then only turn on one. If your not driving around on the planet, shut it off, Etc etc etc.

Yes they are off. One needed to be powered to repair the FSD. The priority order is needed to avoid having to manually turn things on and off. IE, come to a stop, turn off thrusters and just allow the AMFU to power up. Land, the SRV powers up etc. I'd rather they fixed it than have turning things on and off as a solution going forward.

I've been fortunate that since this mess up I've not been affected.
If I was out in my Colonia Taxi I wouldn't even be booting the game up. 🤷‍♂️

I've found by having various items actually turned off, avoids issues if and when I need more power and rely on the priorities to shut things off. Maybe it's just me, but there seems to be a time lag in which what ever I'm doing that causes the priorities to shut things off, keeps me from performing what ever I was attempting to do up to 15 to 20 seconds; Which seems like a life time when you really need to do something NOW.

In addition having them shut off and not utilizing the priorities to do it for me. Allows for a longer duration of firing my weapons. Which when the priorities do it, takes a few seconds. The only issue I have is on occasion such as attempting to deploy the srv, I forget when I go to the menu to deploy, and have to change menu's to turn it back on. Not a big deal, and it doesn't happen often.

Having multiple afmu's on at the same time causes them to fire at the same time. If and when my fsd needs repairing, I simply turn one on, fire it, and then shut it back off.

I only use power management in explorer ships. Actually it's only on this anaconda because it has a 2A power plant. Only one AFMU is P2 the other P3. Combat etc always get the power engineered to handle the modules. I can't stand turning things on and off lol.

You can see the power layout here https://s.orbis.zone/4quk well, when it's working that is....

97% even with junk turned off.

just a thought a ship reboot maybe cant hurt none...………………………...

Hi, I did reboot, re log etc. I left it for an hour and it worked long enough to get the FSD fixed, but a few hours later on the next FSD repair it did it again. It's a game bug rather than a ship issue, I think they are close to confirming it on the "is my bug popular" reporting system :D
