Changing ship to vary gameplay??

So I got a little bored of the same grind and decided to head to Sag A, my god is it a long way and now I’m almost there but wanted to do a little pew pew for a break.

Other than “breaking emersion”, why can’t we be allowed to telepresence to any of our ships we own so we can vary the different tasks as we see fit?

Would any materials collected while telepresenced into your other ship. Be also available to your home ship?

I think that a couple additional CMDRs would be most welcomed by everyone.

You make a decision, that decision has consequences. If Frontier lets you hop into any ship at will, there are no more consequences.

CQC is a combat explorers best friend. What you propose would break ship transfers, appreciate a portion of the community would prefer instant transfer, but it is what it is.

I know a few people have second accounts, one out in the black, the other in the bubble.

No doubt would facilitate some sort of exploit from the PVP/grief/gank crowd.

So yeah. My guess is your single player experience has to suffer for the sake of PVP balancing.

Its another one arbitrary decisions FD made. You can have telepresence when they say you can and not otherwise. Dont get me wrong, im all for immersion etc, i just wish FD were consistent with the games content.

I think they have been pretty consistent, despite a subset of players wanting to fast travel, you can't jump to one of your assets half way across the galaxy unless you self destruct.

When I open up my ship to fighter pilots I wait max a minute or two to fill both seats, would completely break multi crew if my fighter pilots had to fly to a station, board my ship and then head with me to the haz RES site. Was a logical decision, hopefully even for the most hardcore immersion cmdrs.

You can telepresence into another CMDRs ship.
There's CQC (or so I've read)
You could buy another account.

It won't happen because it would be just like having multiple accounts. One for each ship, which you pay for with virtual money.
You might go back to your tele-ship in the bubble for weeks or months, then fancy a change of scenery without the bother of actually having to go there, suddenly you're near the galactic core again.
