Changing your Commander name

I'm not sure if, on day one, you are asked what you would like your commander name to be, I dont recall. As far as I can tell, its your gamertag and thats that. I'd like the option of having 1 name change, and only one.

My gamertag is a shared one with my wife, and doesn't particularly lend itself well to a commander name.

Is it something others would like to see implimented? Or am I being a little finicky?

As far as CMDR names are concerned, the Xbox has it better. You can change your name without wiping save.

On PC, we have to wipe if we want a new name.

Your gamertag is your commander name. Just change that.

I'm with the OP. I like my GT but I would have preferred to have had a more in character name for the game.

Same for me. I love my GT but wanna have a full cmdr name like : Lem "Something".

I even sent a ticket for... the answer was : no way : need to change the XBL GT and i won't.

End of the story.

Neither did I and I'm nine years. Love my gt, would like a more in character name, but I'm not losing sleep over it and I'll live my life just fine if it never happens. I know my commanders name and that's good enough for me.

And I totally agree. I would have liked a different name but even if the option became available now it would be too late to change due to exactly what you are saying.
