General / Off-Topic Chapter 4: "You did this to yourselves."

j8GZMcI.jpg

The Monitor: "You failed."

The Flash: "Why are you doing this?"

The Monitor: "You did this to yourselves. You asked for this. You demanded it! And now, All! You! Knew! Will perish!! And your precious 400 billion system sandbox will be reconstructed. Exploration. Mining. Incursions. Scenarios. Multiple System states for Factions. Persistable Signal Sources. Even the lighting of entire star systems has been re-crafted to my design! A sandbox reborn, with two new ships to play with. A sandbox populated with rumoured and reported content to find. I do believe the words you're looking for are 'Thank you.'"

The Flash: "Even you don't possess such power!"

The Monitor: "I've proven before that my abilities are Beyond your understanding. Beyond your comprehension. I've saved the best until last."

The Flash: "If you do this, millions of Commanders lives will be affected!"

The Monitor: "For free."

The Flash: "This is too much! Changes of this magnitude are....are-"

The Monitor: "Dangerous? As it was foretold in the 3.3 Prophecy. Now run along, Flash, and take this message to the Commanders: Accept. Your. Reward. Third Chapter's last gleaming is upon you. Hide if you wish, resist if you're foolish, pray that your Asp Scout might be finally useful - but no matter what you do, Beyond's Fourth Chapter is coming and it can not be stopped."

:p

If only the Monitor had aligned the numbering schemes of the patches to chapters. He seems to like confusing Cmdrs with the expectation of a patch 3.4.

Very good but I don't get the reference, what has the Flash and this monitor dude got todo with anything?

Who is the monitor dude?

I'm not clued in on the Flash universe.

Hehe...

Even if an individual CMDR was facing worst-case conditions (i.e. dislikes most of the upcoming changes)...

One could still say : Winter is coming! You've been warned. We told you so, now it's finally here! :D

PS.
I think we're looking quite good, looking forward to the Update.

"Winter is coming but global warming is too, so who cares?"

yep, after "what about exploration?" was asked so much during 2016-7. So as Thanos said, "Dread It, Run From It, " 3.3 "Still Arrives" where it won't persist for endless more years while selling .jpg ships to sustain itself..

( I hope someday the DCEU is fixed and they do a proper adaptation of the original "Infinite Crisis" )

Marvel won.

DC fans should just give up, unless they rehire Chris Nolan to write & create all of the films.

Except Wonder Woman. That film was surprisingly really good.

Good job DC: you made one fantastic film compared to Marvel's 20+

Batman and Wonder Woman deserve better.

Good point, they(Warner) really needed someone effective to steer the DCEU, whether it was Chris Nolan or Patty Jenkins, someone who gets the dc verse and characters and can write or recognize a good story about it. I think the worst mistake they did was letting Synder have so much overarching dceu influence and creative control after MoS. I'd thought "Watchmen" was his best work and even that was just passable and saved by some of the actors' performances and being an adaptation.

Their worst mistake was completely wasting the biggest comic book event ever on the last half of a bad movie.

That event could have been 2 movies that would have been epic, if done well.

Idiots at DC.

One wonders why they haven't done Knightfall yet.
