Charlie the Beluga - An adventure to explore the Galaxy! [Comment Thread]

If you want to comment on Charlie's adventure, here is the right place! [smile]
https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...-to-explore-the-Galaxy!?p=5140264#post5140264

Just like the ships in the 2 other stories Charlie and his friends only got one life each, once they crash etc. they will be gone.

His adventure is supposed to be mostly driven by what you people want him to do. So if you want Charlie to visit Earth or do a cargo mission or something else make a comment or write me a private message and he will probably do it.

If you want him to to something that takes a lot of time, like traveling to Sagittarius A* he will probably not do it unless more people want him to do it.

I hope you enjoy his story [smile]

1) Does it really need 2 threads?
I dont think it "needs" 2 threads, but i think it is better to seperate story and comments.

Can't you just reserve the first 3-4 posts and make it into longer posts rather than have 2 threads clogging up the forums?
I could but i wouldn't like to do that. And i dont think "clogging up the forums" would be too much of an issue because the forums are very active and it feels like that there is a new post about every 2 minutes.

2) Should this live in the exploration area? https://forums.frontier.co.uk/forumd...te-Exploration
It could but i think it would be too hidden there because i want it to be a story for everyone on the forums and posting it in "Dangerous Discussion" makes it easier for people to find.

3) Sounds good. Have fun and good luck, already enjoying the story on the other thread.
Thanks you! Im happy to read this!

To be honest it's more visible in the exploration area. Unless you plan to update both threads daily or every other day then they'll sink to page 2-3-4-5 etc.
Dangerous Discussions gets maybe 30-40 new threads a day, probably more but I don't have a good way of seeing that easily.

Ah well, hope it works out for you anyway. :)

Like your idea.
If Charlie ever finds his way out to Hawkins Gap, could he bring along a brush and a few tins of paint as 'Radiant Princess' is in need of some TLC?

She just wants to be nice and shiny and new like she was when she first set out on her journey....

Thank you! And those are some nice screenshots! If Charlie ever finds his way out to Hawkins Gap he will look for you! :)

Its funny when you want to make a screenshot in a Beluga using the debug cam and trying to fly through the mail slot when suddenly out of nowhere another Beluga appears and pushes you relentlessly away just like a fast train would do it to a car.

To all you Beluga owners, any tips on getting out of the station easier? I really loved this ship and think its one of the best looking but I have gotten it stuck so many times and spent more on rebuys then the initial buy and outfit. Just cant seam to get the hang of it. I fly an anaconda and have no problem with scraping or anything in that but the fins on the beluga are terrible for me to get used to.

Glad to see a new series of adventures beginning, good luck on your journey o7
Do you have the Sol permit? I have read that the moon Ariel has some stunning ridges that might make for an interesting flyby in a fighter (just be careful what the mothership is doing).

It is easy just fly through the middle no left no right just the middle and make sure that you are the only ship that at that moment wants to get through there.

Thank you :)

Here are some pictures of Tim flying arround, i didn't include them in the story post but they are pretty ok in my opinion.

Good to see another adventure and it's quite the jolly band you've put together this time.

When you're ready for a short trip out of the bubble, maybe we can meet up at one of the alien ruins.

Great idea and really awesome pictures !

I am currently in the Colonia region to be part of the CCN olympics (my first olympic games as a participant !). That would be a nice first big jouney for the exploration of the galaxy, but it's far out and already starts next Saturday, so Charlie may not make it...

Hope to meet Charlie and friends somewhere out there in the dark... o7

Thank you! :)

And i agree, Colonia would be a nice place for Charlie, Jeff and Tim to visit.

If 5 people want them to go to Colonia they will :)

What shoud Charlie, Jeff and Tim do next?

Really man, 2 threads for your screenshot circlejerk? Hate to burst the ego bubble but you'd be better off just dumping them in a single thread on the exploration board.

circlejerk?
Why do you call it that?

Hate to burst the ego bubble but you'd be better off just dumping them in a single thread on the exploration board.
If you dont like it just ignore it and dont act like you are someone that is "bursting peoples bubbles" and is smarter than everybody else. Dont you have better things to do or do you like doing it a bit too much?

I think it may be a bit soon to be making the journey to Colonia. There are many more sights still to see around the bubble. Here is one that might be appealing to Tim the Taipan: the Military Installation at Izanagi A1. This is one of the places where CQC assets have been used in the main game and it is right next door to an Earth-like World - very photogenic. There is a thread recording where capital ship docks and other structures have been discovered in game that might give you some ideas for other places to visit: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...s-CQC-structures-and-other-new-in-game-assets
