There seem to be some weird rules governing game chat. A lot of words are filtered that just don't make sense.
"poofed" as in "that pirate poofed" is filtered.
We talked about peanut butter and the word tainted as in tainted jars of peanut butter got filtered.

Taint is apparently slang for a specific part of the human anatomy which I can't really explain there for rather obvious reasons. So that's probably why it's filtered.
Poof, I have no clue.

But on the bright side, remember that someone had to allow "Uranus" as a non filtered word (because it's a planet and it's in the game already I guess), so you can use it for your FC name and it won't be censored ! I wonder if "Urectum" is censored.

In many cultures poof is a pejorative reference for a male person not of the normal gender orientation, unfortunately many English words do indeed have multiple meanings, some of which are entirely harmless, they're just playing safe with that one!

Poof is a British slur for a gay man.

Taint refers to the human perineum.
