I am a bit concerned that you have managed to get to a situation where you have sufficient funds and rank unlock to be able to purchase an end game ship WITHOUT knowing how to answer this question.

Why would it matter if he knows about the discount or not as to whether he can get a corvette? I found out the discount through word of mouth. It's not exactly obvious other than also word of mouth the rumor that shinrarta had a 10% discount. Also not obvious, but also turned out to be true.
Because combat is low paying 90% of the time I learned this before I could afford to buy one. But swings and roundabouts eh - many arbiters of play this way or that. Anyway as has been mentioned by someone LYR system, filter that powerplay chap in eddb with corvette in the station. With some luck you will be able to get 15% off.

From memory(roughly) cost without discount is Corvette ~188M ? Mirrored ~400M ? Thrusters ~51M ? PP 150M ?
Lets say fully A rated Vette at 1 billion, how many 100s M Cr do we save ?

Edit: @EvilDog77 ... You don't need to be Elite in anything to get the 15% Discount in LYR space and btw that's 5% more than in Shinrarta. Elite status gives you 2,5% (iIrc) on top of that, but that's it.
P.S.: oh and not to forget the 20% discounts on weapons in Hudson space and 20% on cargo racks and hull reinforcements in Mahon space...

A lot of people pick up a video game expecting to play it for maybe one, two months tops before moving on to another title. If the OP is one of these then jumping into a Corvette as soon as possible makes plenty of sense because they might not play the game long enough to experience 'burnout'.
