I know I go on about routers, but for a good reason.

Please check your firmware, use a proper password, and change it regularly.

What really gets me about routers is the default password is usually changeme.

You change it, with more effort than anyone should have to tolerate. But next time the modem needs a reset, the password reverts to changeme

Unfortunately - cheap routers with poor firmware tend to be a bit rubbish like that, yet consumers don't see them as being "worth" spending money on as they are just "internet boxes"

Mine came with my cable connection. But I take your point.

I purposefully do a hard reset every so often just in case. But it is a strange situation.

I use Rogers Cable connection. The router and modem has no logo, hope they ain't no ASUS-made plastic box.
