I noticed those checkpoint markers in systems, what are they for?

I don't want to risk investigating one with my "6", if it turns out to be a combat zone. So i am curious to know what they are.

I just spotted a few. They are all too close to planets too explore. Maybe its the placeholder for planetary landing.
