Chieftain what it could have been.

The "Raza" is more than double the size of the cutter. Perhaps something like that as a new "big 4" for the Alliance. But a medium ship was planned for Beyond. Then again, I'd rather have the panther clipper for the Alliance or independent to stick with the Elite lore.

I'd agree it is "what could have been" for the cancelled "Dark Matter" Season 3 show. (same for "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles", season 3)

I just did a quick google search and it seems The Raza is about 200m long 140m wide so not much bigger than the cutters 192m long 111m wide.

I would have The Raza over a cutter any day.

The Raza has about a fourth more of the height of the cutter and doesn't really have wings taking up width nor the cutter's smaller central cylindrical fuselage effectively less than half the Raza width along the section without wings, making a much more uniform cubic volume than the cutter, hence my over double the size estimate. I'd prefer the cutter due to personal preference of aesthetics and that it's more reminiscent of a commercial jetliner. Also, imo, the Raza would be more of a even bigger class than the cutter/corvette/conda similar to panther clipper, turner argent or imperial explorer.

Whatever...dont care about size comparison but i do agree that they really resemble each other and i agree that the Raza influenced its design in some way.

Yeah they say height is about 44 m. I'm guessing cargo capacity somewhere around 1000 to 1200t.
