Children Of A Dead Earth

I friend told me about this 'game', I use the term 'game' loosely.
This is a video I came across on YT, not too bad, gets the basics talked about.

What do players here think ?

I've not got the game, but I'm thinking about it.

I tend to say 'this looks interesting' a lot in this sub-forum. But this time I really, really mean that 'this looks interesting'. :)

I've played a few missions of it. You definitely need to be into real space physics / orbital mechanics to enjoy it, but if you are, you should get it (based on my brief experience of it)

Basically it's KSP / Orbiter with weapons and no hands-on controls.

Yeah, I can see we would need to be into the realistic side of things. I enjoy Orbiter, but it burns up so much time. I feel this would be the same, not sure I want that again, just yet anyway.
I will, I know I will, but later perhaps. [blah]

From what I've seen, the scenarios are short enough that you can complete them in under one hour (though if things get more massive / slower later on I wouldn't know) And since there's no direct hands-on control, doing things doesn't take as long as in Orbiter (it's just click & select trajectory and the AI calculates all the burns for you)

I'd compare the pace of the game more to turn-based strategy games like Frozen Synapse rather than to Orbiter. Like in FS, there can be a lot of careful and even tedious fiddling with orders and paths and such like but the game pretty much advances at your pace, as slow or fast as you want.

Good info.
I also like FS (Prime, though). Its a great little game, albeit sometimes frustrating, ai wise.

Wow, that showed up unexpected! I`m a big fan of Orbiter and Kerbals - I will give this one a shot for sure. Thanks for the info.
