Choice of having hull percentage to show on HUD

Hello,

I was fighting a ship and my hull was 90% and the NPC was around 70%. There was a lot turning and for some reason the camera shifts important information goes off screen, i.e. hull percentage. After a few turns and not seeing the hull percent, I was died.

My suggestion is to have the option to display the hull % on the HUD in addition to where it's at now. This is so when I'm turning, the information would not be off screen for me not to see.

Thank you

Actually, the real problem is that part of the UI is hidden when we turn.

The real solution is that FD should finally fix the atrocious default head movement on turns that tilts very important parts of the UI out of sight, including hull damage.

It is a horrible implementation of a so-called "diegetic interface" that destroys its advantages (immersion and readability) by making it unreadable and outright breaking immersion by forcing the player to notice the Field of view's artificial boundaries by turning them into an issue...

And it's annoying, because the rest of the UI - except for some of the Engineers' windows navigation - is pretty damn rock-solid. There's just that glaring, destructive blot of a stain upon it...

Worse part is that they responded multiple times that they'll keep it because it's a "cinematic choice". But That cinematic choice could also be constrained to ensure we can always see all the hud, like any pilot can...

But no, apparently, having the pilot's eyelids radically unable to focus on the whole UI at once isin't "Cinematic" enough.

Having an oculus rift should not be a requirement to play a game...

Once again, - I say, directly adressing FD - You can not have "cinematic elements" that break immersion! It's... it's just a painful oxymoron!

Why is it that the gaming indistry keeps using the word "cinematic" to justify such silly things?

And all of it would be fixed if they ever egreed to dampen this movement even just a little bit, and just in one direction...

Thing is you don't need the Rift to play the game. Or even the VR Headeset. You can change your view with Key buttons. When I don't have my VR Headset On I use my mouse to control my view. Or hat control on a joystick. Then have Center button. So your view turns to the center. So there ways around it.
