Choosing a colour for your lasers?

Are there any plans of letting players choose the colour of their lasers or multi cannon tracers? I admit being a Star Wars fan so differnet colours would be a nice thing to have. We don't need to have a full spectrum of colours but maybe 5 different colors would be good?

Dont think that has ever been brought up. There were discussions about different HUD colours but so far no news on that.

I can imagine it being easy to change them for the player, harder to get that to show up for other players, but honestly would you care if your opponents didn't see the colours? Maybe a tune option in the weapon when put onto your ship.

I brought this up awhile back before the change to the website and cannot find the link. I would like to see some sort of tracer with multi-cannons. As far as laser color, perhaps depending on the class of the weapon would dictate the color. More powerful, a different color?

Are the laser colors all the same? I assumed that different laser types and power output were different colors. But I've never purchased any.

Neat but would perhaps make it more difficult to distinguish the type of incoming fire?
I guess being able to customise what you see without affecting anyone else would be reasonable though.

I can see the appeal .... but perhaps - being purely cosmetic - it's a great idea for something to pay for
