Are you only able to select a faction in the menu on the right in conflict zones or something?
If you're in a faction-controlled system, should you be able to choose which faction you're fighting for?
If you're in a faction-controlled system, should you be able to get the 500 credit kill vouchers? (I've never had one of these, only bounty turn ins.) Do these kill vouchers help rep a lot more than bounty turn-ins?
