Christmas Vulture Chrome paintjob: give us the old one too

TL;DR:

The old one is (arguably) better, please let us have both.

Will happily pay another £3 if you like (or donate something to Special Effect instead).

Old one was an exclusive though.

That's what I presumed as well.

However, I feel that the OP here has gone above and beyond the rational limitations of a mere procurer (damn me for having a competent vocabulary and the spelling equivalency of a ten-year old, by the way)... Where was I?

Dash it all, man. They can all eat CAKE!

Yeah and then they added a non-exclusive paint-job that's practically identical and cheapens the exclusiveness to the point of it not being exclusive because there's a carbon copy that's available to all.

It's a big cop-out.

And yet, here we have people wanting one over the other. Either way, it does seem to be a fair bit of silly business. Fortunately, I know how to spend my money on things I know I want since I look into what they actually are before buying them.

I'm just holding out for a "chromed" Python here, but didn't mind bumping the OP out of respect for their circumstance. You can call me Robin Hood, if you want to, but I'd disagree... ;)

It's definitely a sideways move, but the demand is definitely there for the original as evidenced by this and other threads so there's still some exclusivity. ;)

:D Reminds me of some of the Cobra Mk. IV threads I've seen...

The devil *might* be in the detail though. It was very clearly stated that the Cobra would never be sold again. Not sure how the chrome was worded, but it might be exclusive in the same way that the flag paintjobs were (i.e. not).

Anyway I was hoping my Special Effect tactic might get a result regardless...

I'd also like to be able to get the original Chrome instead of the knockoff Chromed. The latter just doesn't look like chrome at all, it's more like a grey brushed metal coating. It's the same with Gold and Golden.
The issue here also is that if Frontier decides to hand out Chrome after all then it'd have to be while the sale is going as buying the ugly Chromed just in hopes one gets the proper version eventually isn't a risk anyone will take.

On a last note I don't approve of similar paintjobs in concept being around. If you want to introduce a chrome look then only make it one paintjob (or at least one means of obtaining it if you still want variations) and not a series of chrome-ish looking ones distributed/sold separately. Means make a "chrome bundle" or just have one type of chrome around to begin with. Anything else is awful from a consumer standpoint as it introduces confusion and disappointment.

The chromed vulture is okay-ish, but the fdl is a disgrace. The mess they have now created by changing the first chrome and now adding an even worse one, and not giving both when they did do that for people that bought them last time.

How to make a mess 101... FD trademark.

Don't donate to those frauds, you are paying for their new car and 2nd house.
