It's been a enough long time since that I went to the store, so my apologies if it's not new

It seems that some Chrome and Gold paints are back

I also noticed the Type-10 in Gold

I'm glad they brought some of those back again, but at the same time I can't help but wonder when we'll get more glasses like the NPCs have at stations on their portraits, or when we'll get more thruster / weapon colorations such as an RGB color spectrum shifter, or solid black, or something else....

Did you really just ask for "solid black"? the sort of black that shows up on a black background, flashing black, with bold black borders just for added contrast...?

I am slightly confused by these paints.

I have both the Chrome Corvette and Cutter in game (two different ones for the Corvette), but the store shows them as not-owned for me. I have TWO different gold schemes for the AspEx, the one that shows up in the store is not-owned. Are these different from the ones I already have?

I'd still like to see some Chrome + Color paints done.
I creatively faked an example using the Chrome Sidewinder and the Sidewinder Colorado, just to use as an example:

But a nice metallic band like this would look great on more than a few ships. I just have neither the time nor the base images to sit and creatively cobble more together, but you should get the point, I'd think.

No reason not to throw some shine and some color together to give us some really spectacular looking paint jobs, eh?

Nobody knows yet - but my guess is about a week after the launch of Beyond 1 the 27’th.

I'm thinking more of Vantablack, shoot pure bolts and lasers of void at my enemy. Though I'd prefer the RGB spectrum option instead to put on a light show.

Yes, there’s a difference. “Chromed” is like brushed metal.

Sorta - certainly the Chromed is much more brushed - but the original Chrome was hardly mirror-like. I am sort of guessing there is a performance issue with true mirror-like finished in Open at community-goal sites; because the engine is certainly capable of rendering the proper mirror-like finish.

Either that, of FDev are cynically milking us bit, by bit, making sure we've bought every version of every metal under the Sun before finally releasing the proper mirror-like versions of them in 2021...

It'll be bronze and copper next - the platinum - then rose-gold - then chav-gold - then Mr-T with chains-on gold. Get the picture?
