Do you not use the keyboard for anything? I have the thrusters mapped to the cursor keys.

Not at the moment, TBH due to real life I've only been able to get a couple of hours in on the Alpha so I've been limited to what testing I can do. Threads like this are useful to see how others are setting things up and how you can pull certain manouvers. :D

Thats what I was hoping, let someone else do all the hard work on setup and then just copy them. :D

So on my Thrustmaster Tflight the hat is for system managment as the default. I have to press and hold a button for FA off, I assume i will have to do some remapping.

TJ I use the same joystick and using the hat for thrusters is very comfortable and easy to use. I have the slide axis on the back of the throttle for FAOFF and still do pips using the keyboard at the mo. maybe an x52 is needed....

Insert space ships into this:

;)

Standard strafing in circles requires flight assist off, am I right?:S I heard the thrusters weren't strong enough to actually do that?

So ROLL ON Alpha 3!!!! Im desperate to Kick Some Ass, and eat some chewing gum... and Im all out of boots!!

Also known as The Mad Hatter... ;)

A philosophy and predicament more than a few of us are in me thinks :D

Is it possible to program the T-Flight so that when you press FAoff that auto toggles a rollover and tells the hat to change from pips to thrusters?

shows how lower skill players (like myself) will be simply trashed by the more skilful... (Or perhaps the better equiped on the joystick front)

... and that is a good thing ... right?

A skillful combat player, piloting an inferior ship, who is able to defeat a pretender in an shiny, expensive ship can only be a good thing :) After all, theres only so much that credits/MTs can buy you .. and skill isn't one of them.

Its all about the fun though, and as DB hinted at in a recent interview, he wants PvP to be a 'rare' occurance in the game because with every PvP matchup, there is a loser - and apparently, thats a no-no.

Group hug ... mind the dagger.

It works well with lazors, especially gimballed.
I can't seem to make it work so effectively with the multi-cannons, I may be doing something wrong, but I shoot right on the target lead indicator, but almost never hit my target. And I am moving around quite smoothly - FAON, no jerky movements.

:S

Sounds like the lead indicator isn't factoring in the lateral momentum your bullets are inheriting from the ship. Interesting.
