Civ VI on sale worth it?

Civ IV is my favorite, finally started to play Civ V after a long time, (as always it's the DLC that make it great).
So Civ VI for ~$25 worth it , or does it need the DLC like all other Civ games?

If you only just started Civ 5 i'd say stick with that for now.
Is Civ 6 worth a 25$ price tag ? Yes it is.
But even more worth it (imo) would be the 17$ for which you currently can get both of Civ 5's major expansions "Brave new world" and "Gods and Kings (currently 7,49€ each)...if you don't already have them.
There is always another sale, Civ 6 isn't going anywhere and you can always get it later, and possibly even cheaper.
Civ 5 is a very good game in the series, i dont think you'll regret giving it your full attention.
Personally i also think it's the better game of the two, but that's highly subjective of course.

Civ V is similar to the rest of the series, my favorite. Civ VI is quite different, i personally like V more. Favorite games!

Civ VI is worth it imho. Yes, it is different, but feels like summary of all good things in Civ series, and it doesn't need tons of expansions to prove it. Nice music too.

until Civ IV BTS plus mods. It will never be better than that ;)

What this guy says. Tho, I can't comment on Civ6, but I'd rather try a new Civ than playing that piece of crap watered down mobile game abomination that was Civ 5. The only good thing about Civ 5 was the removal of the stacks of doom.

Civ IV all day long for me.

V was way too slow, the long pauses between turns ruined it for me.

IV is nice and fast, its more like the classic Civ.

plus you get to hear 'Baba Yetu'

Civ VI, with the expansion, is now my favorite civ game, so yeah I'd say it's worth it. And yeah I like VI more than both IV and V even with all of their expansions.

VI has some real nice new mechanics which I feel improves the strategic gameplay above the others, thus why I like it more. And the next expansion coming out soon is looking to make it even better yet.

Yeah, VI is my favorite one of the series.

I'm more of a Galactic Civilizations III man myself.

I have yet to buy Gal Civ III. I have hundreds of hours played with Gal Civ II, it's my favorite space 4X game of all time.

Maybe come this winter sale I'll pick up GCIII finally.

It was on sale on steam a couple weeks ago, you could have picked it up with all the expansions for a bargain, bad luck you missed it... But it will be on sale again, sooner or later.

GalCiv II was excellent as well, played it for a very long time.

Well, Steam winter sale is still on right now, GalCiv III included, 66% off.:)

Currently at $13 on Chrono, for the next couple days, or $17.50 for the Deluxe edition (just scroll down, you'll find the two near the bottom). Chrono is an official Steam key reseller, so no stolen keys or credit cards, it's not G2A.

And additionally, Endless Space 1 and 2 are currently with huge discounts too.

Both Endless Space and Civ6 have broken AI, though I admit Civ6 is in the class of its own.

I am playing Civ since 2, and 6 is by far the most underwhelming of all, without mods I'd have refunded it.

The fact that in the animated day/night cycle the Sun rises in the West and sets in the East says it all.
