Don't know if this is new in 1.5/2.0 but I've never seen it before.
I was heading into Ryazinsky Refinery (a "military outpost") in the Namatho system. As I approached I could see weapons firing and it seemed that there were a dozen or so ships - Pythons, Vultures and Eagles - all attacking the station. Scanning the attackers showed them to be system authority vessels from the rival faction. The outpost defences were picking them off one by one but new attackers were dropping in regularly. They didn't seem to be doing any damage to the outpost.
After watching for a while I decided to dock and unload cargo. Everyone pretty much ignored me - one of the authority vessels scanned me and gave me a polite "carry on" as the outpost defences took down his hull.
It was quite cool to watch and the noise of all the firing from inside the station sounded quite impressive.
