Hello
is it true that you can only claim alliance bounties in the system where the bounty was created? I have 14'000 Cr in my left panel open but I could only claim around 2'000 in an Alliance station.
A bounty on a ship will be issued by a faction authority (sometimes more than one fation authority will issue bounties on a single ship). When you use your inbuilt scanner to determine if a ship is wanted, you see any bounties issued by the controlling faction of the system you are in.
A Kill Warrant Scanner will make you aware of bounties imposed by other factions in addition to the current controlling faction. You see the combined total of all these bounties on the bounty field of the contacts tab.
When you kill the ship, you are given vouchers for every faction that had placed a bounty on the ship that you were aware of (no Kil warrant scanner = only the current system faction).
An example
I am interdicted by a cobra in a system controlled by an Imperial faction. Pointing my ships' nose at the cobra, my built in sensors alert me that the cobra has a 14,000 credit bounty on it. That bounty was issued by the Empire. I deploy hardpoints, and use my kill warrant scanner to scan the cobra. Looking at the contacts page, I see that the bounty now says 48,000 credits. When I kill the ship and look at my transaction tab, I see 2 lines under bounty vouchers. One says "Empire bounties - 14,000" the other "Alliance bounties - 34,000".
I could claim the Imperial bounties in any Imperial system, and the Alliance bounties in any alliance system.
