Newcomer / Intro Claiming bounties if I moved out of the system I got it from?

I'm currently in "monoto" system, and I did some pirate hunting misions and so on in another one, killed some more that were not mission objectives, a couple cargo missions etc... Now the thing is, I have a bounty to claim, but the only info is something on the lines of "Pending to claim in Cerberus"... As far as I'm aware, that is a faction and not a system, so the search bar in the game is totally useless..

Is there any way I can track that bounty origin or something like that? I know there's the option to claim them somewhere else with a 25% penalty, but I've been to like 7 more places but none of them have a contact that let's me do so..

Any tips for this? Thanks!

You can claim it at an "interstellar factor" which are more commonly found on outposts. But, as you say, you'll get hit with a percentage decrease as they want paying for the service.

Or, you can search for the faction on inara.cz and you'll get a list of all of the systems they have a presence in. Be aware, though, that you can only cash in bounties if said faction controls the station you're landing on.

Edit: (Actually, now that I think about it, it would probably be easier to use eddb.io, select "stations", then type in the controlling minor faction you're looking for and the system you're currently in under "reference system" and you'll get a handy-dandy list of stations, sorted by distance from where you are).

For future reference, when bounty hunting, it's generally a good idea to, once you're finished, head back to a station within that same system and cash in all the bounties you have. Basically, anyone you scan with the basic scanner that you get when simply targeting someone, who shows up as "wanted", is wanted by a faction that operates within that system. So if you leave a system with un-cashed bounties, and try to cash them in elsewhere, the faction that put up that bounty is likely not present within that new system, so you can't cash it in.

A Kill Warrant scanner lets you scan for additional bounties that are placed upon a ship that has been issued by factions outside of that system, which is how you can end up with a bunch of extra bounties that you can't cash in within whatever system you're in when you find them. For these extra bounties, or any bounties you collected with the basic scan but then didn't cash in, you basically have to leave the system and either track down the individual factions that issued each bounty (a massive waste of time, IMO), or go to an Interstellar Factor.

Interstellar Factors are places where you can cash in any bounties, regardless of where you found them and who issued them. They basically act as middle men, taking a 25% cut of the profits to facilitate the transaction. They're usually found in low security systems. You can also filter for them on the galaxy map, though I can't remember if these guys show up properly or you have to visit them first to make them appear. Either way once you find them they're very useful. Don't bother trying to track down every individual faction if you have a few outstanding bounties, make life easier for yourself and just find an IF.

EDIT: Interstellar Factors. They also let you pay off fines and bounties on yourself, so I'd suggest finding a couple and keeping them bookmarked for the future. They're pretty handy.

Alright just tried that website and it's great, bounty claimed, I guess is not much for the game in general but 400k more on a new player wallet definetly is something..
Thanks! :D

It's not worth hunting down fractions to cash in spurious bounties. Bounty hunting now gets you 6 mil/hr in a high resource extraction site using the starter Sidewinder. By the time you found the faction and travelled to wherever to get the 400k bounty, you could have made 3 million in new bounties, or you could have got millions doing the community goal that's paying about 30 mil per hour using a stripped down Hauler with fuel scoop and DSS.
