I helped the Feds kill a couple of wanted bandits and got the bounty. When I go into transactions it says bounty and the total CR then in federation. How do I know where to go to claim this reward?

When you are in a Federation starport just go to the "Contact" item. They'll be the second option. Select that and you can redeem your bounty.
