So I have this idea for release to set up operation in one faction and do trade and bounty-hunting, and then go on raiding sweeps to a nearby faction and act as a pirate.
For example, let's say I set up in an Imperial system, and I trade with Imperials and I hunt pirates in their systems. But then I go over to Federation space and act as a pirate myself, to sabotage their trade routes.
But I'm beginning to be increasingly unsure how bounties work. As I understand, even if I break the law in the Federation jurisdiction, I can still go back to Imperial jurisdiction and dock with space stations and even pay off my Federation bounty without risk. The thing I don't understand is, will players see me having a bounty in Imperial space? Because that would make my Imperial friends want to shoot me down, just to get my bounty, but then they are actually helping the Federation which I have been fighting... It wouldn't make sense at all, but then... I don't know. It seems very tricky.
EDIT: I think I would expect it to work like this; just like in conflict zones, I can choose my allegiance, and if I choose my allegiance I can see if players have a bounty in my faction regardless of where I go. Then Imperial players would leave me alone, because they wouldn't see me having a bounty. But it also means someone could declare for Federation, enter Imperial space, and collect the Federal bounty on my head, HOWEVER since I am clean in Imperial space, that player would simultaneously collect a bounty from Imperials for killing me. This is what I think makes most sense, but I don't think it is what is in the game and I don't know what is planned.
