So the in game timer says I have two weeks and several days of play under my belt and my wife nearly cringes when I fire up Rhett game so I think I have enough seat time to put some thoughts and questions out there. As always, any help and replies are greatly appreciated.
1) I play on Xbox, therefore I will not see any CMDR'sthat are playing on PC, Mac or steam. True?
2) Whatever the case is, all players are playing in and affecting one single universe. Regardless of platform or whether playing in open or solo. True?
3) If it is true that solo play affects open play that is a real flaw imo.
4) My understanding is that a clock is going to be installed in the cockpit. It was the first thing that I looked for after picking up a time sensitive mission. Pretty basic tool that was omitted in the original design.
5) Another basic element that is missing imo is a flight plan. When I am traveling from point A to point B there are usually several systems in between. I can find no list before takeoff that details those systems. Perhaps I am wanted in a system and want to avoid it. Perhaps I have a fine I want to pay and it would be convenient to stop on the way. Maybe I just want to remember the name of a system I have passed through on the way. None of this is possible as far as I can tell.
6) The game is amazing. This is my fourth try over at this and finally found it on Xbox which is as much easier to control than a keyboard. Finally, a mmo that allows for solo play and group play and is painless to switch between play styles. It is imo superior in all ways to eve online except for one. Eve online has the group rooks and kings. Beyond that there is no comparison. I played Dark Souls three for about an hour when I got it and it sits in the box unused.
7) I live in Las Vegas and got Leicester City at 100-1 two weeks before Christmas. It has been amazing to watch as the wins kept coming and now they are on the verge of something very special, possibly unique in sports history. I love this team's cohesion and the story is beyond Cinderella. Go Foxes!
