Class 7 FSD For Corvette

This is a very simple message, the Federation Corvette needs to have a 7 frame shift Drive not a 6. It's 100% not fair to people who chose the Federation that their best ship only goes 10 light years when outfitted for combat when the empire has the cutter that does so much more. And it's not like the frame shift Drive effects PVP or combat, it simply helps with travel so there is absolutely no reason why the Corvette should not have a rank 7 frame shift Drive.

and I don't want to say a single comment saying I need to get the guardian module or that I need to engineer the FSD booster. The issue is plain and simple the cutter has a class 7 and the Corvette should have a class 7 because it does not affect PVP, combat, or does not unbalanced the game it just doesn't punish people who chose the Federation by giving them a ship with such a terrible stock FSD.

Not everyone has the time to invest into FSD engineering or getting the guardian module.

Cluttering the forums with as many threads about this as possible won't get you anything, mods will just lock a few as duplicates. Get over it, that size 7 FSD won't happen.

Question why have two topics about this?

Well I going to say you need a Guardian module and you need to work on the engineering of your ship. Each ship has its own pros and cons.

You know the Corvette is a combat ship right? with Engineering and guardian FSD booster (Have no idea why you complain against these) you can push it above 25Ly, combine that with it's fuel reserve the ship is more than fine for long range combat, and doing it right!

If you don't want to engineer it that's your choice, but for a ship that already can have power demands (if upgraded properly) i'd rather not have the extra repercussions of a bigger FSD (Such as poorer handling (As one of the most manoeuvrable large ships, this would be a killer), slower speeds and of course power draw) there is a reason why combat vessels aren't fitted with the most massive FSDs people can slap on them....

What funny is I have access to all the ships on my main account. I never flew the Asp Scout.

Same, I never even test flew the thing. much the same as the Chieftain Copy and paste ship...the Crusader. which I can safely say is the new Asp Scout of the year! I wouldn't touch that thing with a Lightyear long pole... :D
