LOL. Lenslock for the win!

Not sure this supports sound but it's pretty fast & has games sorted by year (F9 for options, "More Games" bottom right)

Du you know.. or anyone else .. How to get the savefile on my commander from the BBC to my PC ? It's a dual drive (and big as a truck) lol.
I'm off to my parent this x-mas where the BBC is "stationed" ..

I'll have to try that with the new Recreated ZX Spectrum - http://sinclairzxspectrum.elite-systems.co.uk/index.php - when I get it next week. I must remember to go to the loo while it loads like I used to do!

Take a look in FD' store. I think that they have a couple of versions of the original Elite for free, that will run on PCs and Macs (make sure to get the right version). Just checked, and they are there;
