cleaning up the Galaxy map?

Can some one please tell me if there is any way to remove the lines from systems to systems to help make the galaxy map cleaner?

Yep. When on it, click on whatever selection you currently have for "quickest" or "most economical" route so that nothing is selected. Just remember to turn it back on before plotting an actual route.

The Galaxy map has a lot of options a player can dial in even going to advanced navigation but like every other challenge in this game it requires player experience to know how to use it. Are you up to it?

So how do you find a navigable route without the linking blue lines.I can click on a hundred points of light without the galaxy map finding a single route.
I have now come to point in my travels,Ploea Eurl, and I want to move out into deeper space, say Sphuedie but I can't...no route. The only route for me now
is to backtrack for hundreds of light years to find any route.

Jumponium?

Jumponium! Jumping Jupiter, sir,I think you have it.
Slipped my mind altogether....all I need now is a really
useful idiots guide to the Galaxy mapping control panel
as this old brain is struggling with it and as Hooplah suggests
I'm not quite"up to it"
Any Commanders know of such a tutorial?
Thanks for the starter for ten ParaHandy.

As Para Handy said Jumponium is handy to have. :)
Another thing is some of the settings in the star filters can stop you seeing stars. Only yesterday I could not navigate to a star >10,000 ly outside of the bubble. I could not see any stars in the G-Map. The problem was the "SHOW BY SIZE" had been set to "population" in another filter and the system remembered it. I wasted a day on that.

Yes a route planning and advanced navigation tutorial using the GM control panel would be useful.
It's all beyond me, I can't even find the blue lines to route me to the next system.
