I was bounty hunting in the rings of Saturn laying into a wanted anaconda when a fed ship flew right into my line of fire. I instantly got a 400cr bounty so I jumped out quickly. There was an 8 min timer in my transactions-- now it's not showing up at all? Anyway to take care of this?

400 CR is an assault bounty. Usually those last 10 minutes and a jump. Chances are it's already become a legacy fine, which you should be able to pay off in the same system.

What I do is jump to another system, then back again, then it usually shows up as a Legacy Fine, and I pay it at the local base. I don't usually want to attract attention from other bounty hunters.

Just remember the most important thing. Get yourself out of the system and everything will blow over eventually.
