Seriously though, anyone who hasn't had a chance to catch the Expanse yet really is missing out. I would say that its pretty close in a lot of ways to how ED is imagined by a lot of people.

Nice. That gets a lot of stuff right. Space ships can't be "armoured", but they can actually take having a lot of holes punched through them. Ken Burnside has written about styrox blocks being fired at with .22 bullets. It takes a lot of rounds to reduce the styrox block into dust, but it won't be stopping any of them.

I've been avoiding the Expanse due to its sales bill "the Game of Thrones of Space" but hot damn that was an interesting clip. I will have to give it a run. Are most episode that intense or does it start of slow?

the Expanse is very, VERY good imo.. Can't wait to watch season 2.

It builds with each episode. If I can recall, it pretty much starts off on a rollercoaster and doesn't let up. The story is very well written already if you read the books, and the acting is good too. It's plots within plots. I think you'll enjoy it.

So far trying to watch this show hasn't gone well. I could only find it on Crave TV and I couldn't get CraveTV to work on my Television, and my wife wants to watch it and doesn't want to watch it on the PC screen even if it is 26 inches... #FirstWorldProblems #PrivilegeAtItsFinest.

Any suggestions?

HDMI cable from PC to TV.

My setup is one old desktop acting at HTPC and serving up the unsupported Windows Media Center...for recording OTA broadcast, mostly. I also use it to stream anything that isn't on the Roku. My new desktop sits at the desk next to my TV and is hooked up to a monitor and the TV. I swap to that to play Elite from my couch

...Wife didn't realize you could get USB extension cords and is a bit flabbergasted by my use of HOTAS on the couch.
