client upgrade failure need help

Hi a new version a client is available, when I click the link from the client it's downloading a file called Client-Installer.dmg of 6mb what I'm supposed to do with that ? windows doesn't recognize the file.

Once the upgrade's complete (you'll see the status change) then give it another go.

DMG is a MAC file package. sounds like crossed wires somewhere. Give it a few minutes and they should sort it out.

If the upgrade takes the scheduled time then we've still over 4 hours before the servers are available so no crashing hurry to upgrade the client. Rapidly mastering the art of twiddling my thumbs here.

Re-download it from your frontier account. The update here told me theres an update, downloaded a client installer, but its the old one and after installation, still told me theres an update.

Yeah. Same here. It all seems a bit slapdash to me. Very amateurish.

I've changed the extension from *.dmg to *.exe and it worked. This is a win32 file, not a mac one.

If you are trying to update, then nothing will happen until 21:30 BST at least, according to other posts the servers are on a 6hr update which started at 15:30 BST.

My advice, go find some beer and read stuff, that's what I'm doing
