Climbing

This is probably obvious, but in the 100+ hours I've played, I jave not once noticed animals (specifically primates and cats) climb trees. I've seen them climb the logs of those wooden jungle gyms, watched primates walk on vines, and I've seen Otters walking on those huge bushes from South America (don't remember name), but I have not once seen an animal climb an actual tree. Can they?

Oh yes. I've seen bears, I think mainly the Formosean Black Bear, , cats - mainly snow leopard I think though, and koalas in trees, off the top of my head. There's likely been others and I just can't think of them right now. But those for sure.

Ok, maybe i keep missing it. I've seen the Koalas a few times. Didn't know the Black Bears did that. Maybe I'll add them again to my new zoo

Yesterday my Himalayan brown bear escaped using the roof of the shelter and he got there by climbing a pine tree.

I've had my snow leopard cubs get trapped near the tops of Himalayan pines in their habitats, which gives me an "animal is stressed" message. It happened to a grizzly bear cub of mine with a large Ponderosa pine also.

I've seen monkeys and lemurs climbing climbable trees in their habitats too, but it can be hard to spot because the foliage hides them. Not all trees are listed as climbable, however. The Tamrarind trees are, and I've had issues with Lemurs escaping if the larger Tamarind trees are too close to a fence. I've also had escapes from domed habitats because the foliage of a tall, climbable tree is clipping through the top of a dome or other building that contains a habitat.

Last night I saw my chimpanzee sitting up in a tree. Now granted, they've probably been that way and I've seen them dozens of times before, but because this thread was so fresh in my mind I took special note of it.

My tigers love climbing trees, particularly the cherry trees. Seen them in plenty of others though... they love this one overhanging the water.

That's a beautiful shot!
Thanks, my building skills are less than brilliant so it's rare I have something pretty to screen shot. I'm usually rubbish at using the terraforming enough and my habitats end up pretty blocky but this is from my first franchise zoo so I've slowly been improving the aesthetics!

My lemurs and monkeys tend to run up into the tamarind or cherry trees right when I need to click on them to get their stats to determine who to sell, release, or transfer to the trade center. This makes it impossible to click on them, as I always seem to get whatever vegetation they are sitting near instead.

Though in this they are acting like real animals that don't want to be captured.
