Has anyone , or could anyone test how many mJ the Clippers CL7 prismatic have? I have no friends (or much time to begin with) to test it out and see how long it takes to deplete. The reason I ask is because it doesn't seem much stronger than the 7A, tho I know I haven't been doing a great job keeping power to it in a fight.

Prismatic shildls are twice the weight and take 50% more power than the A rating of the same class (for 20% stronger shields).
So a Class 7 would weigh 160 tons, and draw 7.35MW's. It would give you (before boosters) 367.2 Mj's.
Clipper shields are terrible.
That's a huge amount of power for a Class 6 power supply. It would not be easy.

Is that right? S0d that for a game of soldiers! I have enough difficulty with power management as it is! Let alone jump range on the FDL... Might be time to go back to a Python... :c(
I realize that, but I wasnt really looking for suggestions at this point. You are right but I can get one in plus 2 boosters and have either a chaff and KWS or double chaff.
I'm really interested to see if they actually do give the 20%more on the clipper
Yup, you need a lot of power to be able to use the largest shield possible with Prismatic, clipper shields are always week. And normal class 7 shields are power hungry already.
The Python is one of the few that can handle it. For a Class 6 prismatic you get 484MJ. Go full boosters and it's about 875Mj.
The Python has a bigger power plant and smaller max shield than the clipper, plus a better base shield strength.
Basically the clipper's strong point is running away. And it needs it.
