Clipper Thrusters.

Okay so I'm a bit confused. With D6 Thrusters on an Imperial Clipper I boost to 400 m/s (WHOO SPEED). I upgraded to C6, and I actually only boost at 380. What gives?

What your max cruising speed? IIRC, the C thrusters increase speed, but decrease boost speed, not sure though. Wait till you get an A6. 16 mil is a lot of money, but they are worth it ;)

I think other ships do it as well (Asp C's slower than D's iirc?).

6Cs give the Clipper a massive side thruster boost. 6Ds and Es are like sliding around on an ice rink when trying to dock.

I didn't notice much, if any, improvement in 6Bs over the Cs in maneuverability. But went from 388 boost to 427. Yes 427! [ship weight about 625 iirc]

I may be wrong, but I think clipper has the fastest boost speed of all ships fitted with A-class combat gear. Mine does well over 430.

Is it worth it to upgrade to 6A thrusters for trading? I am currently on 6D and landing is a chore...
If you dont care for 'immersion', do what I do. I fly my Python at about 140m/s into the landing pad buildings, then reverse to the right spot. Looks crazy, but after the millionth time of doing a "real" landing it gets kinda boring.

I still care...for now. Ask me in a month though.... I am already considering not bothering slowly taking off and just save to main menu and relogging so I can FSD straight away. I'm on 3A shield and I fear landing hard gonna screw the thing...

Try how much your shields can take, and adjust speed accordingly.
