CLOSED LETTER TO FDEV: Community members are sick and tired of people speaking for “the community”

In response to all the open letters to FDev in which people I have not given consent or permission to represent me representing me I feel that I can no longer stand by and must take action.

To that end I’m writing a closed letter to FDev.

This is a closed letter containing grievances and demands. In it I do not claim to represent any groups or individuals other than myself. Its content will not be shared with anyone. Not even FDev. That is how strongly I feel about the subject matter at hand.

I expect a response to this closed letter within a week or I will move forward with the actions outlined in the letter.

Response will be expected in the form of closed letter, posted publicly for everyone to not read.

A 1950’s-style Busby Berkeley musical dance number with David Braben in a sequined evening dress and dancing ladies wearing elaborate headdresses with sparklers is also acceptable.

While it pains me to resort to these extremes, I have been left with no alternative.

there is not.

However, it is my firm belief (if I were into this sort of thing, which I'm not) that if one really wanted to generate a lot of support for their cause, they would make their petitions OPT-OUT instead of opt-in. That way, simply posting a petition gives you the unwavering support of some 6 billion, minus the few who inadvertently find out about the petition. Asking for personal information, email address, or any kind of identifying information could substantially reduce the number of supporters willing to opt out.

I'm not at all clear on who or what needs banning/fixing/updating/firing.
