CM3 Throttle bindings, especially thrusters

Loved horizontal thrusters + 2 keys vertically on Hotas X / Hotas 4 that I used for thrusters in ED.

Now with Virpil CM3 I can't really figure out what to use for lateral / vertical thrusters. What do you guys use?

Trying to use a hat / ministick I guess but it sucks comparing to 3-4 separate buttons approach.

I use the analog mini joystick at the back side for lateral/vertical thrusters.
It takes some time get used to it but it's much better than using hats.

What I don't like about that it's not purely accurate + can't really press right + down for example.

Also, it's hard to clearly hit down, you'll eventually do some right or left, so it's quite inaccurate thing for me.

This is why i said that it takes some time to get use to it.
However i prefer this for my thrusters and i can now control my landing on planets very easily by just lightly touching the stick.
You can't have precise control with a hat or button and even that this joystick is not the best, for me it is still the better choice.

My biggest complaint about the CM2/3 is that I would much rather the analog stick and one of the hats that falls under my thumb be switched.
I use the analog stick to slide port/starboard/dorsal/ventral, and the hat right next to it to pulse thrust fore/aft.
