CMDR Customisation items in store. FDev, Seriously?

Firstly, I want to say that I have been long supporting FDev with buying paintjobs and shipkits every time something new came out in store because I liked it and at the same time I was supporting FDevs.

But, CMDR Customisations??? Seriously FDev??? Tattoos?? Flight suits??? Yes nothing would be wrong if there was some solid game mechanics like space legs to make your CMDR look little bit different among other players. But selling it for real money in the current state???
I know they are super cheap but in principle, it sucks that player have to pay for such primitive things like tatoos. Okay I may overcome the fact that flight suits are behind paywall but tatoos??? Sorry but that is little bit too much over from FDevs. I know that FDevs like to put everything that customise player's ingame items cosmetically, behind paywall but I do not think that such a things like tatoos should be paid items. It is very basic customisation in my opinion, especially in the state, where ED is now, without spacelegs it does not really matter. Flight suits are disscutable but okay, I can overcome that.

In the end I know that you guys are going to tell me to do not buy it if I dont like it or if I do not want to spend money for it.

I just wanted to express how disappointed I am about this CMDR Customization paid items, especially and mostly Tattoos.

I'll buy some, but you're right tattoos probably should have just been part of the CMDR creator

Not sure what you expected cmdr customisation to be, other than flight suits and decorations. Yes, some of the new suits are a little basic but remember how the first paint jobs used to be

I did not meant to announce that they are in store. If you read my post you would notice that I announced my disappointment that CMDR Customization items, especially tattoos are behind paywall.

Although I have some objections about suits being paid I can overcome the fact that they are paid since it does make your CMDR look little bit different. But tattoos for money? Tattoos are very basic customization items to be considered paid in my opinion, instead they should be avail in game for free.

Tattoo's etc are paid for items in other games. E.g Guild wars 2, black desert online etc all have character customisations in the games store. Game companies are using micro transactions more and more as a substitute for subscription fees and out of the two I know what I would rather have. So long as they offer no performance advantage and thier purchase is optional I can't see the issue

GW2 and Black Desert are much different games than Elite Dangerous. In both games you mentioned you can at least walk and socialize with other players and such a items as character customisation ones distinguish your character from other's. Elite Dangerous does not have any game mechanics as such at the moment, and I do not think you can count multicrewing as true socializing game mechanics. Most people who multicrew for a fight or whatever does not bother to look how helmsman or crew member look like. If player's charaters were able to interact with other players and especially if we had ability to walk inside ships,stations and so on, then it would be more relevant, but at the moment, this CMDR Customization paid items just sound like very stupid move from FDev, especially tattoos.

FD announced it a good while ago that it would be so.
You are not breaking any news about this.

Frontier Developments is a PLC and a share holder company, they are expected to build and return revenue and in return if ED is successful in this aspect players will see further development and investment in their preferred game.

Buy or don't buy the choice is yours but I think you need to open your eyes a little wider to see the bigger picture. This is also why the PS4 support is a good thing for PC gamers, their revenue will justify a bigger and better game for all.

imho if you like it, buy it... I used to be against it like the OP but I feel Frontier saw sense with the weapon colours and moved to a more amicable policy of buy once use forever.

Well I buy cosmetics, I just disagreed with some items for CMDR Customization.

The horse has been beaten to dead so many times that is not funny anymore.

The argument don't like don't buy is perfectly valid and applicable. FD needs the revenue and is only cosmetic.

If you don't like the new stuff don't buy it, vote with your wallet.

A lot of the stuff in the store looks crappy (Ship kits and many of the paintjobs I'm looking at you!), if people din't buy them FD may eventually make more of an effort.

Personally i just spent twenty quid on suits and name plates and am fine with it, face tattoos are not my thing though!
