I think it just has to do with the number of plasma on your firegroup?

I only see the number get all scrunched when I use like 6 or more guns on one firegroup. I had that problem with my Vette a lot when I originally setup her first firegroup.
So, other than that - I'm not sure I'm doing anything fancy?
