CMDR Kapei : "hi, i've some questions for traders"

Hello again everyone, like i said on another post, i'm new in space sims. i play since a few day only, i've start like every one with the Sidewinder and then the Hauler, then continue to trade lot of goods between stations. but i'm not really sure to be on the rigth way anymore. i've reach 64.000.000 CR and i've just bought a new Ship the Python. The first days i've travelled trought various system and station to analyse the suplly and demand of each station i visit. after i've glean enought informations i start to trade. principaly the different Ore of this game. i'm currently doing 1500CR/Ton (Python = Multiply by 292 Cargo space then ~438.000 CR) for a journey and 500CR/Ton for the return (give me ~146.000 CR for the back).
Total = ~584.000CR for a round trip. it's approximately 2.336.000 in one hour with my Python. i think i have understand some rules of the trader's core principles. but as i'm a nooby comander i need someone with enought knowlegde of the core principles of the trader's gameplay to tell me if i'am currently on the wrong way or if i can do more better than 2000CR/T profit on an whole round trip. if i continue like that tommorow i've my lakon Type 9 but if i can do better.. i must do it.
i hope some can help me.

Thank you in advance for your attention and my apologies for my bad english x3 i'm not sure to be really clear in this post but hope you will understand x) see yah.

There are higher payouts I've read of on other threads. Like 1300/1500 trips, but it really boils down to how many trips you can make in a certain amount of time, like an hour. This is because some routes may have great payouts but take longer to perform the round trip.

I found a good little route I'm reasonably happy with that is two destinations, 7 light years apart. It pays 1050/650 and both stations are easy to get to within the system. As I have two ships that's my "go to" area at the moment.

There's various trade tools out there that you can use to find trade routes.

Currently the best ones are around 2400/ton round-trip.

There are also rare commodities that trade for a lot of money but are in limited supply and have to be taken long distances.

Here's my thread for my tool.

I have to say though, if you've made 64M in a few days ... i think you should tell us tips.

Personally I think you are doing a very good job.

I have a 3 system round trip. I only use the 100 ton T6 and from the round trip which takes about 10 minutes I make 230k. If I had a nice big cargo hold like the python I could make a good 600k every 10 minutes. Put it into 1 hours work of total mind numbing grinding I could make at least 3 million per hour.
I am not in a very good area for rares and it could be much better, but each system has needs which I provide.

I am happy with the 2.3k profit per ton for each round trip. 5 trips make me 11.6k per ton per hour. not bad for a T6

Oh pur-leeeease....still a troll stroking his e-peen...."I have 64 million CR and need advice" - not buying it...not for a minute!!!

How about just asking him nicely how he did it.

One way would be to spend 18 hours a day trading. Maybe he feels he needs a better way.

I'm not doubting he's actually gathered that much cash I am simply doubting that he has done it in the time scale he says....and then is so bereft of awareness that he doubts he is doing well....stinks of self congratulatory bulls**t

thanks to you to give me ayou opinion. i'm looking for that. with my lakon type 6 it was monday or tuesday ;o don't really remember but i was doing 1616 CR/T on a journey and 450/Ton for the back. give me 2066CR/Ton so X112 max.cargo space of the type 6
i did 231.392CR/ round trip since my lakon T6 i still hook to 2000CR profit/Ton ;l i need more cash money... you do better than me x) with my lakon 6 continue like that. (y)

I found a trade route recently that is 1200 one way 1100 on the way back, currently a 2 jump trip for me but should be doable in one (think it's like 14-15 LY), the whole run at 2 jumps takes about 10 minutes.

The biggest issue is credits per hour. If you have to travel 18,000 LS from a star to dock, then your earnings are going to be less than mine running a route where I don't go any more than 250 LS from the star and make less per trip but can make more trips in the same time. There are some very nice routes out there that make 2500/2800 per round trip per ton, they also have very long trips to dock, one is 18,000 LS to one station, another is 158495 LS to the station, that kind of thing. So you are doing fine and better than most.

hmmm... i've not really a solid base or reference to see if 64 million is a lot of money or not. in this game it's may be a good sold of bank but in RF online for exemple or s4 league you're a poor man with that. i'm just asking for tips to be more effective. that's all i've no time for troll or mastur... on my Sold. gather massively a lot of cash => buy the ship i want => and then fight. i'm not a kid. i'am here for anwser. not spend time for justify my self to anyone who doubt or cry for troll.
i bought this game one week and half ago i played it few hour and define my goal clearly. that's all.

You're way beyond rare goods. Rare commodity trading is a good way to start out for beginners, but once you have the big cargo haulers its no longer efficient. You're on the right track, just keep at it.
